sledding is impossible. If anything
like present conditions had been
anticipated a month ago every thing
could be taken to the camp site by
boat. The ice so rough that sledding
on it is impossible unless a road
is made by a tremendous amount of
work. There is nothing to do but
wait and grab the first opportunity

traps. 1 fox. Crawford at work about camp

Maurer & I went out on the ice today looking
for open water, but found none. Saw several
fox tracks and one old bear track. Galle got
nothing in his traps today.
