Postulates.

Let it be granted that the New Testament was originally written in the Greek language. ----------------- That the old Testament was originally written in the Hebrew language, and translated into the Greek, by 72 Learned Jews about 300 yrs before Christ.

First ------------------ That speaking of a liquid being used, or of a thing being applied to a liquid, the greeks had several words, the meaning of which, can ascertained with very great clearness. viz Ekcheo. Pour out, empty, shed. Louo. Wash; as cleansing the body from filth. ― --------------------------------- Nipto. Wash hands, or feet, or any part of the body ------------------------ Pluno. Wash clothes. Rev. 7:14.

Schrevelius of Pickering & Oliver. ----------------- Another; To be the disciple of any one; to follow any one, as a disciple; to make, or cause to be a disciple; by impl. to teach, instruct.
