Memorandum of Agreement between
the Dartmouth Cemetery Association
and Edwin D. Sanborn.

Whereas it was deemed necessary
to widen the carriage path at
the Eastern end of the old cemetery.
I, Edwin D. Sanborn agreed to give to the Cemetery Association
a parcel of land from the West
side of my lot sufficient to
make the carriage path sufficiently
wide, to-wit, a strip of land
about fifteen feet wide at the
South end of my lot running to a
point at the South end where
it is bounded by Prof [Jumebys]
land; and the Association
agreed, by way of partial compen-
sation, agreed to keep the
division fence in repair perpetually.
