VERSO:

The Directors met according to adjournments.

In the matter of Dr. E. W. Smiths a/c it was
reported that the a/c was correct + should
be paid. Approved.

In the matter of taxes it was reported that
the Articles of the Association fix the limit of
taxation for any one year, + that for the col-
lection of taxes no other means exist than are
supplied by the general laws of the state.

In regard to price of lots it was recommended
that the price be raised to $10 - & that if
not expedient if possible to make any dis-
crimination at present.

Report accepted, & in accordance with its re-
commendation the price of lots was raised to $10_

The Committee on Fences was instructed to see Mr.
Kibling in regard to the excessive charges on his bill,
& to see owners of adjoining property in regard to a
decision of the expense of the new fence.

An assessment of $1.00 per share was voted for
1865-6.

RECTO:
At a meeting of the Directors at Prof.
Brown
's study on the 4th day of June
voted that Major Tenney Dr Smith
and Mr. Cobb be a committee to
negotiate with Prof. Fairbanks respecting
the sale of a portion of the cemetery
grounds, and report at a future
meeting.

Voted that Prof. Fairbanks and Quimby
rearrage the unoccupied lots and define
the paths so that the lots may be
available for occupation when needed.

Voted that Prof. Brown be requested
to deliver an address before the
citizens of the village on the
importance of the cemetery and
the necessity of improving its grounds.
