This lot has long
been known as
"Students' Row".

It has been stated
frequently that these
interments were made
in Hanover before
the railroad was
built. The first
train to arrive at
Lebanon was on
March 17, 1847.

Richards states
that George Sumner
(stone 2) was the
"1st student who
died in College".
