To render leather water-proof
(used by fishermen)
Bees wax, Burgundey pitch,
and terpentine of each 2 oz.
Fallow 4 oz. - melt
+ rub on when the leather is
warm & dry - or
Take Bees wax 1/2 tb
Rosin 1/4 -
Beetroot 1/4 melt.-
