Fomenting Poultie

Boil a sufficient quantity
of malt moderately, - thicken
it with rye meal till it be-
comes tenacious, then, after
spreading it on a cloth one inch
thick, spread some [im]tings on it
+ apply it the part.

When malt cannot be had, coarse
rye meal stired into boiling water
will answer. - - -
