PROCLAMATION

$50.00 Reward


Whereas, It appears by information received by me, that Jas Smith, a convict affected his escape March 29th 1875 well it under lease to French and Jobes and is still at large;

Now, Therefore, I, ADELBERT AMES, Governor of Mississippi, do offer the above reward for the arrest and delivery of the said Jas. Smith to the Supt. of the Penitentiary

And I do moreover require all officers of the State to be diligent in their efforts to arrest said fugitive [gap].
