To His Excellency Governor of the State of Mississippi

We the underesigned Citizens & Confederate Soldiers of Perry County beg leave to respectfully represent to your Honor that one Benj Sims was Convicted & Sentenced to the State Penitentiary for the term of six years for Robery & Jail burning, We understand that a Petition has gone up for his releace but we believe that he had an imparcial trial and justly deserves the punishment inflicted by the Court
