To His Excellency, B.G. Humphreys, Governor of Miss. Jackson, Miss.

Govenor:

Yours of the 27th received. I have telegraphed to Louisville, Kentucky, to have Woodruff sent hither immedi-ately, and I trust there will be no delay in his coming. As soon as he arrives, I will inform your Excellency, and we can settle on the method of making his testimony available.
