Baldwyn, Miss April 6, 1876

To his Excellency Gov. JM Stone Jackson Miss

My Dear friend

I see you have the appointing Power of a judge (Circuit) in this District - my Son-in-law Mr. J M Arnold of Columbus Miss will be an applicant - you must know that he is an experienced Lawyer of many years and I think would give general satisfaction.

If your Excellency should see proper to appoint him as Judge would confer a great favor on your best & truest friend Respectfully

As ever your friend Robert Lowry
