His Excellency Gov. J. M. Stone Jackson

Sir I take pleasure in recommending to your favorable consideration in the nomination of a candidate for Circuit Judge of this District Mr. J. E. Gurin, a citizen of this County. Mr. Gurin Is the gentleman of acknowledged high legal attainments, undoubted integrity & exemplary habits & I believe no appointe to this office, would give greater satisfaction to the people of the District.
