Paulding Mis April 20th, 1864

To His Excillency Charles Clark

Dear Sir

I take pleasure in joining the officers of my County in recom-mending Dr Samuel E Casteel as a suitable person to dispense Spirituous Liquors in this County (Jasper) He has been in this county for several years engaged in the Drug business in our town not withstanding the scarcity of medicines he has employed all his time in Keeping his store open to supply the citizens with such as he carided, and it is the only Drug store in the County He is every way qualified and reliable and responsible with all a gentleman and I do not think your [?] that
