Mr. Sam Lavinson moved that the Rabbi should interview the members who do not pay the extra 10¢ the reason why we should encourage and assist the U. of A.H.C. and induce them to pay the extra 10¢. The motion was seconded by Mr. Simon Lubin and the motion prevailed.
On motion it was ordered that whenever a layman is invited or offered to address the congregation from the pulpit, that he be requested by the Rabbi to have his manuscript to be approved by him and that he should confine his address to his manuscript.
On motion of Mr. Max Simon and seconded by Mr. Garfinkle it was ordered that services should be held every holiday. On motion it was ordered that the board meet every first Friday night of each month.

Special Meeting Sacramento, November 24, 1911
The officers of the Congregation B'nai Israel met in the temple at 9 P.M. Mr. S.J. Lubin V.P. in the chair who stated the object of meeting was to take action on the resignations of Mr. A. Nathan as Schamos [Note]. Mr. Albert Elkus president and trustee B. Frommer were noted absent.
On motion of Mr. Jessie Lubin it was ordered that a committee of 3 be appointed to engage a collector at a salary of $40.00 per month to perform all the work as sexton and collector and perform all the duties of such.

The chair appointed on that committee Mr. Isidor Cohen, Max Simon, Leo Garfinkle. The acting president was added to that committee.
The following made application to become members of the congregation. H.O. Collins 1.10 per month. M. Engle and M.C. Isaacs 1.50 each per month. The secretary was instructed to place them on the roll of membership.

The board of officers of the Congregation B'nai Israel met at 9 P.M. Mr. Albert Elkus president presiding. Roll call and absences noted. The reading of the minutes of previous meeting were dispensed with.
The president reported that he had been notified that a child of Mr. and Mrs. Gattmann residing in Orland had been sent down here for burying and that the parents of the child were under the impression that their grandfather had a family plot in the cemetery. The secretary was instructed to correspond with Mr. Gattmann stating the facts and make out a bill for $25 to be collected for burial fees.
Mr. Lubin stated that Mr. Max Forman wished to have a child buried in the cemetery and that under the circumstances as stated to him he had agreed to have the child buried and charged $16.00 and the parent to pay for the digging of the grave. On motion it was ordered that the actions of the president and vice president be approved.
The following resignations were accepted. A. Brandt and Ed Nathan.

Sacramento, June 21, 1912
The board of officers of the Congregation B'nai Israel met in the temple after the services. Mr. Albert Elkus President called the meeting to order, full board present. On motion it was ordered that the seats for holidays be the same as last year and adults occupying seats with their parents should pay for their seats.
On motion it was ordered that we enforce the rules. Full members men of families 2.50, single men 1.50, and contributing members 1.00 and that only full members shall be privileged to have any voice in the partaking of the affairs of the congregation.
Mr. J. Lubin reported that he had considered the matter for the choir, that it would cost 90.00 for holiday choir. On motion it was ordered that Mr. Lubin and the Rabbi should find out what they can do about the choir and report in next Friday evening.
The president reported that Mr. Chas. Jacobs agreed to pay 150.00 for the 2 graves.
No further business the meeting adjourned. to meet again Friday 28th inst.
