I went to the Sutler and got som paper and came back to my quarters and answered two letters while two of the boys went to mill and wee had dressparade this evning

SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 5, 1865. wee hav siting a round the fire to day the boys are siting up to night waiting for the mail the papers hav bin around and wee are now reading the dispatches

MONDAY, FEBRUARY 6, 1865. this has bin a nice day but is turning cold and getting cloudy we have mush and milk for supper.

TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 7, 1865. this morning their is a snow two inches deep the wether being to warm for it to stay long it is nearly all gon this evning we had mush and milk for supper to night a gain
