to day has bin a lonsom cloudy day I hav don nothing to day.

TUESDAY, JANUARY 24, 1865. I hav bin reading the news a most all day. Setting by the fire in alabama.

WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 25, 1865. this is rashion day wee drew six days rashions I divided them it was a cool job. that is apart of the days work I went in to the lottery [luising?] 2 dollars and a quarter.
