My deal old Sned:

I have been over to Moore &
Campbells to get the car. It was left
there by Joc for something and while
there I had them take out the air
pump and all its connections as it
was no use. Joc is over at the
place where he got his leather collar
having it braced as it does not
hold his chin up properly. I am
afraid he will have to take out
leave of absence from College this
term, as it is difficult for him to
do many of the requirements, which
require stooping. I found a
nice letter from you when I got
home in which you speak of
the loss of a package, and not
getting any mail. None of us
sent the package, at least Mother
says she does not remember sending
one. As for letters, it is a shame
