and Came Out the Next Morning in Towe [tow] of
One of the Small Steame [Steam] Boats

5th we then Proceeded tow and was at the
Capture of Tampico &c [etcetera] and we Stayed their [there]
Some time and then went to Point Lazardo
and their [there] we lay Some time till all was ready for
the atack [attack] from them we Proceeded to Saerafish
was their at the Landing of All the Troups &c
was their [there] till Vera Cruz was taking and
remaining their [there] untill [until] the Surender [surrender] of the
Same and the various ports &c [etcetera].

6th Left the Steamer Alabama and
Joined the Steamship Palmetto was
Engineer on board of her untill [until] the
Close of the War &c [etcetera].
