Dear Sister

I have taken my pen in hand
to write you a few lines to let you know that
I am well and hope these few lines will find
you enjoying the same blessing This is the
first letter I have ever written to you and
I have not much to say this time as it
is raining and I was lonesome I thought
I would write you a letter and find out
how you were all getting along since
we left We are still living where we first
moved at when we came here We are keeping
boarders I suppose you feel very proud of
your boy I want you to send me his
