STOP 292 - THAILAND: KRACHONG

200 specimens.

Stopped for a while in the
same beautiful rain forest and
waterfall area where we collected
more thoroughly before (STOP 269)
Collecting was about the same.
The weather was warm and
sunny for the most part.

MALAYA

STOP 293 - MALAYA: 3 MI. S.E.
IPOH, 50 M., VIII-10-62
100 specimens.

We revisited this "punch bowl"
mountain of limestone and collected
again in the hidden valley
inside its nearly vertical sides.
(See step 263). Collecting
was not much changed; the
area looked a little drier.
Warm, sunny day.

STOP 294 - MALAYA: 16 MI. N.E.
K. LUMPUR, 1000 ft., VIII-12-62
600 specimens.

(See STOP 254) Again we
camped in our favorite
forest area in the hills
behind K. Lumpur, in the
Gombock R. drainage. Collecting
always seems to be good
here. Again the male brookiana
were abundant. Weather -
the usual: sunny [dawn?],
cloudy then with showers.
About the same all around
as before.
