Thomas Harper, Esq, Belleville, Pa,

Dear Mr Harper:

I wrote you some days ago stating that I was ready to begin work on the McKees Rock mound as soon as you secured the necessary permission from Mrs. Graham. I asked if you thought we could get men in your vicinity or in that of the mound to do the digging and other heavy work and if they would supply their own tools, as shovels, axes, etc., or if we had better bring them. In the latter case the museum would have to buy them and this I would like to avoid if possible. The museum will defray the expense of opening the mound.

I will be pleased to go to Monongahela City at any time this week that will suit your convenience. If you will write to Mr. Yohe naming a time and then write me letting me know the time set, I will be pleased, and will meet you to go at that time.

I shall be glad if you succeed in making favorable arrangements with Mr Duss. I have great hope that you will.

Thanking you for your kind interst, I am, with kindest regards to all you in your home,

Very sincerly yours,

F.H. Gerrodette

The Penn Paper Box Co., 417 Seventh Ave., Pittsburg, Pa,

Dear Sirs:

Your favor of the 3rd received. In my letter I stated that I desired the depth of the boxes to vary from 1/2" to 3" according to the other dimensions; that is the smallest size should be 1/2" deep and the others deeper in proportion up to 3". I should prefer paper covering for the covers, a plain white paper the same as that used for the boxes. You might however give me an estimate on both each styles, the paper and the cloth.

I am in a great hurry for these boxes and I would be pleased if you would push the matter and give me your figures as soon as possible. If you desire, you might send one of your representatives here to see me to-morrow Tuesday morning. I would be pleased to see him and might then give him all desired information.

Very truly yours,

F. H. Gerrodette
