Saturday, December 15, 1923

A clear cold day. Jim
started to Lynchburg to
see his wife and daughter.
I hope he may find them
well and doing well.
Henry drove the car
to Gretna. Ben sawed
some wood. Mr. Booker
helped John Ward and
Henry. They got what
Ben had hauled.
Mr. Booker eat dinner
with us. I cooked
hog chidlins. I was a
shamed of it as Mr.
Booker was here. Hope he
did not find it out[?].
I have bin chilly and
sick some this evening.
Mrs. Booker sent me
some butter by Ray
this evening. I was very
glad of it. Henry
has gone to Mr. Mayhew's.
