at home all day. Ben
went to Green Pond
to a meeting. Irvin Harvy
carried him. Alma
and I and all the children
s[t]aid here all day.
Dews Lanier and his wife
and baby come to see us
today. His wife was Fanny
Emmerson. Lee and Grace
and Hilder Brumfield
come this evening.
I was glad to see them.
I put on one of my
new dresses this evening.
Julia Fergerson was
at home to day.
She was going to
Danvill today. I wish
I could of seen Julia
before she went. I hope
she may be satisfied
with her home.

I don't see either Dews Lanier or Green Pond listed in the people and places sections. Lanier appears in the 1920 census as a 19-year old living with his parents, Wm. T. and Bettie Lanier. Green Pond appears to be about 5 miles south west of Gretna.
