Wednesday, October 18, 1922

A good day. Ben & Jim
stripped some tobacco. Ben
shod the horses this morning.
This evening late he went
for a col girl. She come.
Josie has bin very bad off
today. No one come to see her
today. She got a box of flower[?]
through the mail. Got a
letter from Carrie this
evening. Was so glad to
hear from them.
Ben intended loadeing
his tobacco and going
to Gretna tomorrow
but he heard that
they had more there than
they could handle so he
did not try to go.
