A beautiful day. Jim and Marvin went to Gretna. Marvin carried his cow to Mr Scrugs and solde him the calf. He had started to ship the calf. Jim carried a box of meat to send to Chatham for his folks.

Ben solde the last of his tobacco in Danvill to day. Ben and Josie went to Danville. They bought several things. Got home at dark. I am so glad that they are all at home and all are well.

I staid here with Edna & Franklin and Mabel. I ironed until twelve oclock. Charles Harvey come in a few minutes this morning. I do want to see Kate Harvey so bad. I will go over as soon as I can.

A beautiful day. Ben & Jim shucked corn all the morning. Cut wood this evening. Josie got dinner. Henry & Edna went to school.

I went to Kate Harveys and eat dinner then Kate and I went to see Mag. Mag and the two little children was at home. The other children was at school. Johnson Reynolds & Clack Hubbard covered a shed to one of Kates houses today. I come by to see Mollie & Kate a few minutes. Jim Fargthing[?] had a cutting match to day. I rode on a waggon with a stranger as far as Renan.

Ben and Josie are putting up a stove that they bought yesterday.

Thursday March 3, 1921

A changable day. Clear tonight and the wind blowing. Jim and Ben hauled stalks and corn this morning. Ben hauled wood this evening. Jim cut in the woods. Josie baked a cake in the oil stove this morning.

I went to see Mrs Edmons. Found her sitting up. She looks feeble. She is improving. They have a col woman staying there. They were making a canvas for the plant beds. Miss Carter stopd here a while. We all are all ways glad to see her.

Friday March 4, 1921

A good day. Ben commenced plowing today. Jim plowed up the potatoes today. Josie done a big washing for her to have to do. She should not wash if I could help it. Carrie washed yesterday and a gain this morning. I do wish they could get some one to do that much for them.

Mrs Kent come this evening. I was glad to see her. Miss Carter came by and Mrs Kent went with her home. Josie went to Marvins a few minutes this evening. She said Carrie was bakeing a cake.

Tonight Ben & Jim and Marvin has gone to the school house to a farmers union.

Saturday March 5, 1921

A good day. Ben plowed all day with two horses. Jim plowed some in the garden and plowed for a potatoe patch. Tonight Jim & Ben and Henry has gone to Strait Stone.

Josie dressed a chicken and baked pies and got dinner this evening. She bathed the children and got supper.

Doris and Janie Brumfield come. I was glad to see the children.

Marvin went to Altavista. He got seed potatoes. Marvin and the children and Carrie went to Strait Stone. The preacher Mr Lee is there tonight.
