A good day. It is raining now.
That is what we need.

Ben went to Mr Eanes's
today to help cover a house.
Jim shelled corn and got
out wheat. Fixin to go to
the mill in the morning.

The children went to school
today. Josie starched her clothes
and ironed some to day.
I sewed on my quilt. I
went to Marvins late this
evening. Carrie was shelling
butter beans. I shelled
while I staid. Come home
and fed the chickens and
milked the cows. By the
time a done that Josie had
supper ready.

Ben & Jim went to Marvins
to tie tobacco. I guess they
will get wet comeing home.
