We need rain very bad. Ben & Jim worked in Jims tobacco today. John & Edwin Brumfield come today. John wanted to see Mr Layne a bout some land at Gretna. Josie got dinner by her self. She had a good dinner. I washed some this morning and sewed on my quilt this evening. Ben & Josie and Edna & Henry and Julia have all gone to Strait Stone tonight.	Friday July 8, 1921 A good morning.
