A colde day. Wind & scralls [?]of snow. Ben carried logs to the saw mill. Jim cut. Josie worked on Mabel apron some this evening. She went to Marvins a few minutes. She got some packages through the mail to day. I finished stichess my quilt. Henry went to school. Edna did not go. I think Franklin will soon be well.

Friday, February 20, 1920
A good day. Ben is hauling logs to the mill. Jim & Owen is cutting. Henry went to school. Edna & Franklin is complaining. Kate come today and eat dinner with us. She got a letter saying that Virginnia is better. She said she hoped to be able to sit up by Monday. We heard today that Willie Hubbard was dead. All we hear about nearly is sickness & death. I will be so glad when this dreadful disease passes if I live to see that.
Saturday, February 21, 1920
A cloudy day & rain this evening. Ben went to the saw mill. Jim cut. Josie ironed some. I killed two hens this morning. Denia Blair come and spent most of the day with us. She went by Carries and staid a few minutes. Some of her folks come after her. I was glad that they did come. I went with her to Marvins. Today 55 years ago I was married 1865. Most all of the chldren is complaining. I do hope they will soon be well.

A rainy day. All staid a bout home. The children is complaining but not seriously I hope. Josie made pies for dinner. We had no company. I have not seen any one passing the road today. Have not heard from the sick folks to day. I would be glad to know that every one is better off. Oh it is such a distressing time. Hope it will be better soon.

Monday, February 23, 1920
A cloudy all day & rain this evening. Jim & Ben cut wood til noon. Ben helped Marvin kill hog. Henry went to school. The baby is bad off with colde. I think the other children are some better off. To day was a holiday. We did not get any mail. We miss it. I ironed some today & Josie ironed some. I churned. We both got dinner. Josie baked some nice tea cakes.
