Saturday, March 20, 1920

A clear windy day. Ben & Jim & Henry split
wood at the wood pile.
Jim started to Chatham this evening. He
started walking.
Ben & Henry went to Strait Stone this evening.
They walked.
A man come here last night and ask to stay all
night. Ben let him stay and Josie fixed him
supper. I kept the baby while she was at it.
He said he had walked from Greene Burough NC.
Josie & I have set by the fire all that we could.
Henry bought him a watch at Strait Stone.
