A very bad day. Rained a bout all day. Some fox hunters come by here this morning. They hunted all the morning. I don't know a bout there catching anything or not. I guess they got wet.

Jim & Ben and Owen and Marvin all played cards this evening a while.

The boys fix up the olde cotton gin and gined some cotton. I had intended going to Richmond to morrow but will not go. It has rained so much that we could hardly get to the depo.

I comenced a cap for Josie that she intends to give to Ella Hubard. Josie is bad off with a colde.

A clear good day. Ben started to Richmond this morning. I have felt disapointed all day but I think it is best that I did not go. Josie is bad off with colde so she cant hardly go. Jim cut wood all day. Owen went to the mill this morning.

I have done most of the work today. Sallie Blair commenced to teach school to day. Mr Lewis carried Ben to Gretna. I heard from my calf to day. It brought me $20 12/cts.
