A good day. Ben & Jim went
hunting. A lot of the grand
children come to night and a
few others. Kate and Irvin walked
down here. The children played
until midnight. They all
said that they had a good
time. I did not have anything
to do with the askin them.

I am glad that the Xmas
is gone. Every day is preshious
but the excuse for doing
nothing is gone.

We have had good wood
and have had good fires
for which I want to be
thankful. I have not bin
sick a day so that I could
not go a bout.
I feel sad to think
of this being the last
time that I will
write in this book.
