A cloudy day. Ben has bin complaining all day.

Mr Owen and Marvin and William Gilbert killed two hogs for Ben this evening.

Josie got dinner. I cleaned up the smoke house then I took he fat off the intrils and cleaned the feet of the hogs.

Ben carried Miss Janie home and got Mr Jim Emersons tining tools. He wants to cover Owens house soon.

Henry and Edna went to school to day. Floyd Reynolds come by here this evening and got a few eggs. He was on his bycicle. I feel like I know he broke them.

A cloudy day and some rain. Josie and I made sausage and dried up some lard.

Denia Blair and Jim Brumfield come to see us this morning. I was glad to see them. Ben has not bin well to day. I think he was very glad to see Jim. Willie Mayhew and Robert is here to night. They are playing cards.

9 oclock

There was a thunder cloud to night.

Ben found Lucy the cow with a calf to night.

A cloudy bad day. Jim and Ben spent the day walking around. Jim went home this evening. Henry Blair carried him to Gretna. Josie walked over to Kate Harveys this evening for Virginias [calf? cap?]. I staid with Franklin.

Henry and Edna went to Marvins a while this evening.

A bad day. Rained most of the day.

I was sick this morning. I got breakfast but could not eat. Ben and Josie milked. Josie boiled meat and made scrappel and finished drying out the lard.

I have knit most of the day.

Miss Snead come to see Ben. Something about the schools. Gladys Brumfield come with her. I did not meet her.

Josie went to Marvins a while this rainy day. They were all well at Marvins.

A cloudy day most of the day. Ben and Owen killed hogs this evening. Josie baked a cake. Carrie came down here a few minutes this evening.

I finished knitting for Thelma to night.

Have wrote to Effie to night.
