Mostly cloudy today Had a thunder storm late. Ben and Owen shucked corn nearly all day. Josie and I stripped tobacco the Owen children helped.

Janie Gravley and Effie Brumfield are here to night I am glad to have them.

Had a letter from Thelma B to day. I am so anxious to hear from Jim Brumfield.

There is so much sickness I am a fraid he is sick.

Henry and Edna went to school to day. I am a shamed to make so many mistakes.

A good day. Ben and Owen cut wood in the woods. Ben went to Strait Stone at twelve oclock.

Josie and I stripped tobacco Mrs Owen helped us this evening.

Kate Harvey come a few minutes this evening. Marvin gave me some rasberry briars to day. I want to plant them in the morning.

Ben got a letter from Jim to day. He was well when he wrote.

I am in dread most all the time that some of us will have the dreadful disease that is going a round. There is two died to day not too far off from here.

A good day. Ben and Owen cut wood today.

Marvin helped us strip tobacco until twelve. Josie staid with the children while Carrie went to Altavista to have her teeth worked on.

Mrs Owen and I tied tobacco all the evening.

Ben and Mr Owen tied some tobacco to night and put some in the pit.

A good day. Ben and Owen hauled wood. Josie sewed a little. I got dinner. This evening I went to George Blairs they were all well.

Ben loaded the waggon with tobacco. Owen and Josie helped him. Irvin Harvey brought a few sticks of tobacco to carrie to market. They put it on the waggon be fore they eat supper.

Ben got a letter from Paul Bennett this evening.

Marvin sent a load of wood to the school house to day. Lee B sent one yesterday.

Murphist Harvey finished his work at Marvins to day.

Colde and cloudy.

Ben went to Gretna with a load of tobacco for Paul and him self and a little for Irvin Harvey. It all sold reasonably well. Josie sewed. I got a snack for dinner.

This evening I mended my sweater. Miss Janie and Mrs Gravley come in a few minutes on their way from school. Mr Layne come this morning to try to get his calf home. He could not manage him and he is here yet. Ben got home from Gretna about sundown.

I watered and fed some of the hogs be fore he got home.
