Philip Lightfoot Grasty (1785-1825) was married to Jane White Clark (1788-1837)—daughter of William Howson Clark (1759-1827) and Jane Hamilton (White) Clark (1762-1837; daughter of Jeremiah White). William Clark's home was Pineville, 6 miles east of Chatham near Banister River. Philip died at his mother's home in Orange County, according to JWG's diary, Volume 1, Book 5.
