4th Sunday it Rained all day, moderately

5th Rained all night & wind blew hard & its
quite cool indeed wind from N E
Raining all day nearly prizing Tobacco
Spining mending shoes Henry bottoming chair
We are in evening manuring Our Plants
Still very cool indeed —

6th Prizing Short Tobacco fencing Halling Rails
yesterday & to day from mountain field
Some frost this morning fixed scaffold for ing outTobaccoHang=
Federick gone to mill this morning 1½
Barrels Sent & 2 Bushels there making 2 Bblsnearly

8 Went to Mrs McC. yesterday to sister Coleman
Halling out manure finished nearly
Hilling our new ground about this time on mountain

9th Collering & Hilling at fresh ground
Mr J P. Lewis returned the Plank Cut
him in Feby last —
Suning &Dewing Our Tobacco this morningin Houseput it
Prizing Our Second Rate

10th Sent Waggon to shop, began yesterday to Hill
in Second yrs Tobacco Land Coltering etc
Turned Out Second rate Hhd Tobacco
warm fine weather,-

13 from 10th to this time took down our good
Tobacco Monday morning. Coltering Second years
ground, going to Replant Corn in a day or two.
Fine growing weather at this time very warm,
from 13th to this 19th may Hilling made trip
19th to Lynchg & Court House Planting Some
Tobacco in Lot by prize barn finishing
Halling out manure Henry coltering balance
fresh ground at Mountain taken out
to use & for Mr Owen 5 Gallons molasses of
Barrel
