work of our House he was not at
home, but I found him at a sale at Mr
Cotes, he recollectd some of the conversation
but did not recollect the positive contract
but said he would reflect upon & let
me hear from him in a few days—
I then come up to Republican to see
Mr. Spencer Keeling who Mr Moon tried
to get - to take the Job off his hands
after so anxious to get it. Mr Keeling
said very clear that Moon told him
I was to give Him Moon one hundred
& twenty five Dolls for doing any work

Travelled about 46 miles on this business
Demarcas Lain also heard Moon say
I was to give him $125.- for doing my
carpenters work ————————
Nov. 21 Cutting down branch - Halling

flax — John J Lain making Gate
this day to be put up at, - Spring -
began this day to Plow for corn,
27 Raised House beyond Hen House
fix fences about House & Lot
& making cow shelters - put up
cherry to fatten, cutting on Branch
corn & Turnip Patch — Novr 1845
