July 7 - 11, 1865

1865 July 7 Finished getting up
wheat Plowing on Branch etc.

8th Choping corn on creek
Mr Bybee sent me 6 lambs but did
not quite get get done
Plowing & finished corn on Branch
getting up oats this morning
Negroes plowing their corn today
Hot fair weather, my old
sow & 9 yearling Hogs put in
Rye & at this morning —

9th. Put up 2 stacks oats this morning
Halled up flax Negroes plowing
their corn etc. I went to meeting S.S.

[smudge] th went to meeting S.S.

10th Rained a light shower & also
rained this morning – cloudy
Jacob came here last night

11th Rained last night & yesterday
Put vinegar in Barrel in smoke
house this evening Cloudy & damp
weather working new ground cover
Claiborne hand is Bad yet &
has done no work since he was
bucked by Mr. Hunt J Johns? by
Henry Worsham
