Mount Pleasant Baptist Church met in
regular service and conference June, 16, 1928.
Minutes read and approved. Motion and
carried that the report of committee on
collection for J.B.C. be accepted and the
committee discharged. Mention was made
as to whether or not we would excuse
our Pastor from services a month hence,
as he will be in a revival meeting, but
was left to be decided Sunday. Motion and
carried that we appoint a committee to get
hens - and cash for the Orphan Home. Mrs
Lola Edens, Mrs Mary Sparks were named
and two more were to be named Sunday.

No other business conference adjourned.

Supplement-

On Sunday June 17, Motion carried that we
excuse our Pastor from next regular services,
July 14 + 15, Mrs [DM?] Rousseau was added
to the hen committee for Orphan Home.
According to previous appointment, our
revival meeting began on Sat. before First
Sunday in Aug. (Aug, 4, 1928), Our Pastor
Bro ET Howard doing the preaching. The
following presented themselves for member-
ship by experience and baptism. Miss
Alice Crawford, Mr Clifford Bell, Mr Douglas
Whitaker, Mrs Fay Whitaker, Mr AB Barber,
Mr. Clyde Bell, Miss Neva [?] and Mrs
Julia Sharp. Motions prevailed for each as
