Did You Know That:

A certain Senior girl has flipped her lid over a certain ex-senior.

Miss Driver is now Mrs. Harris and she has really changed her ways.

A certain boy on Dunbar's campus is really "dapt", he is often mistekan for an instructor. (Wash).

Ken has threatened to break Stene's neck if she looks at another boy.

Social Science

The six period Biology Class, under the direction of Miss Lela Mae Venerable is in the process of raising snakes to study M.L.D.

English Department

The English Classes are very proud to have a practiced teacher within their midst. She is Miss Robbie Lamb, an alumna of Dunbar High.

The English IV classes are begininng to understand that diagramming sentences is not as difficult as it seems. P.B.P.

Homemakers Department

The Sponsors and members of the Dunbar Chapter of New Homemakers of America reports their Grandma and Grandpa affair splendid. They would like to take this time to thank those of you who helped make it a success. We are now planning for N.H.A. Week beginning April 16th through the 24th.

Onions and Orchids

Onions to Mr. Lyons and his Hush Week Policy Orchids to the Honor Roll Students. Onions to Mr. Claybon and his band for doing so bad in P.V. Orchids to the Speech Class for presenting a well planned Easter Program. Onions to Mr. Cross and his high temper Orchids to the students who has to write 2,500 words for Mr. Carter. C.J.S. & L.M.C

Eighth Grade

The eighth grade class visited the county court house last week. The field trip was an enriching and rewarding experience. Due to the conjection resulting from the trials, being held, we did not get a chance to complete our visit to all of the courts

The eighth grade was very well represented at honor luncheon, Wednesday F.J.J.

N.H.A. Activities

The "New Homemakers of America are at the present time preparing for a "Grand ma-Grandpa Luncheon" Tuesday, March 28, 1961. Much work has been done to make this activity a success. Invitations have been designed and mailed to guest. A delicious menu has been planned also. With N.H.A. week coming up April 17th through 24th many more ativities are in store for N.H.A.'ers. B.R.R.

Agriculture

The Agriculture boys went to P. V. last week to the N. F. A. meeting. They are going to Huntington to a livestoc show Monday, March 27, 1961. They have some livestock to put in the show. A.L.H.

Student Council Activities

The Student Council, under the leadership of Ina M. Kirksey, has done a wonderful job of coordinating studen activities, lending money, assisting the faculty, and now looking forward to planning the Spring Dance to be held in the Dunbar Gym, Friday, April 28, 1961. B.R.R.

Crazy Riddles

What is the difference between a sewing machine and a kiss? Answer: One sews seams and the other seems nice, an so nice.

The Band

The Dunbar High School Band will give their 4th Annual Band and Choral Concert, April 23, 1961 at 4 p.m. Tickets will be sold by the band and choral students. Adults $.50 Students $.25 L.G.J.

Orchids and Onions

Orchids to the Senior Class for winning Miss Dunbar. Onions to the one and only student who is trying 10 words for 10 minute. Orchids to the Typig II class for their first successful paper. Orchids to the Future Nurses Club C.J.S. L.M.C.

8th Grade News

The eighth grade class has enjoyed being apart of the high school this year. The Eighth Grade has an enrollent of 98 pupils.

The daily attendance has been good this year. We are now looking forward to the many Spring Scholastic Activities. F.J.J.

Sports News

The boys went to a track meet in Dallas last Saturday, but I think they were reaching too high for medals. They just went for practice. He was the crazy head Harrison from the hills and the good time land. They went to Houston Saturday Coach E. G. Redd said he through the boys were doing fine. A.L.H.
