N.H.A. Activities

The "New Homemakers of
America are at the present
time preparing for a "Grand
ma-Grandpa Luncheon" Tuesday,
March 28, 1961. Much work
has been done to make this
activity a success. Invi-
tations have been designed
and mailed to guest. A
delicious menu has been
planned also. With N.H.A.
week coming up April 17th
through 24th many more
ativities are in store for
N.H.A.'ers.

Agriculture

The Agriculture boys went
to P. V. last week to the
N. F. A. meeting. They are
going to Huntington to a
livestoc show Monday,
March 27, 1961. They have
some livestock to put in
the show.

Student Council Activities

The Student Council,
under the leadership of
Ina M. Kirksey, has done a
wonderful job of coordi-
nating studen activities,
lending money, assisting
the faculty, and now look-
ing forward to planning the
Spring Dance to be held in
the Dunbar Gym, Friday,
April 28, 1961.

The Band

The Dunbar High School
Band will give their 4th
Annual Band and Choral
Concert, April 23, 1961
at 4 p.m. Tickets will
be sold by the band and
choral students.

Orchids to the Senior Class
for winning Miss Dunbar.
Onions to the one and only
student who is trying 10
words for 10 minute.

8th Grade News

The eighth grade class has
enjoyed being apart of the
high school this year. The
Eighth Grade has an enroll-
ent of 98 pupils.

The daily attendance has
been good this year. We
are now looking forward to
the many Spring Scholastic
Activities.

Sports News

The boys went to a track
meet in Dallas last Satur-
day, but I think they were
reaching too high for medals.
They just went for practice.
He was the crazy head
Harrison from the hills and
the good time land. They
went to Houston Saturday
Coach E. G. Redd said he
through the boys were doing
fine.
