The State of Texas, County of Rusk } To the Honorable John C. Miller, Chief Justice of said county and Judge of Probates. November term 1854. Your petitioner C. H. Kennard, as administrator of the estate of Mary J. Kennard, deceased, would represent to your Honor that he has proceeded to sell the entire crop of cotton of this year, 1854, of said estate for about three hundred dollars, and that he has applied the same in payment of the debts of said estate. And your petitioner would further state to your Honor that there are debts yet remaining due and unpaid against said estate to the amount of fifteen hundred eollars or there about. And your petitioner would further suggest to your Honor the necessity and propriety of granting him an order to sell the following property (viz.), one negro boy named Madison, aged about fifteen years, and one negro boy named George, aged about thirteen years, for the purpose of raising money to pay said indebtedness of said estate, etc. And your petitioner as in duty bound will forever pray, etc. this 27th day of November A. D. 1854. Sworn to and subscribed before me this 27th day of November 1854. C. H. Kennard, administrator, etc. S. G. Swan, Clerk, County Court, Rusk County.
