106 The State of Texas, County of Jefferson } Know all men by these presents that I, Uson Jedderry for and in consideration of the sum of seven hundred dollars good and lawful money of the United States to me in hand paid by Joshua Jeddery all of the same place the receipt where of I do hereby acknowledge have this day bargained, sold, aliened, and conveyed all my rights, title, claim, and interest of and to a certain Negro boy, Jim, a slave for life of a dark mulatto color aged twenty-two years, sound of body and mind and good property. L. _?_ Jeddery for my self, my heirs, executors and admisnistrators will forever warrant and defend the same to said Joshua Jeddery, his heirs and assigns forever. I further warrant and defend the said boy, Jim, against the claims of all and every person whosoever. The testimony where of I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 9th day of August 1847.
