State of Texas, County of Jefferson } Know all men by these presents that we, Aspasia Blanchet, formerly Aspasia Hebert, and Alexis Blanchet, in consideration of nine hundred dollars to us paid by Joseph Rubarth, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, do hereby bargain, sell and convey unto the said Rubarth and his heirs forever a certain male slave called Jasmine, black, common size, age about twenty-five years. The said slave being a portion of the property descended to the said Aspasia from her father Louis Hebert, deceased. To have and to hold the said slave to the said Rubarth and his heirs forever. And we sell him to the said Rubarth as sound, excepting a cut in the belly with a knife, and good property in us and

Lewis, Chief Justice of said county, Aspasia Blanchet, wife of Alexis Blanchet, who being by me examined separate and apart from her husband, acknowledged that she signed the above deed of her own free will and not by the persuasion or coercion of her husband, and that the said deed is her own act for the purposes therein set forth, and desires the same to be recorded. State of Louisiana, Parish of Sabine } Know all men by these presents that I, S. M. Jones of said parish, in consideration of the sum of five hundred dollars to me paid by McGuire Chesson, have bargained, sold, delivered, and released and by these presents do bargain, sell, deliver, and release unto the said McGuire Chesson, his heirs and assigns one certain negro slave named Oston, aged about [or] between eleven or twelve. Which said negro slave I warrant to be sound and free from redhibitory vices. And I warrant said negro slave to by my own property and as such sell him to said Chesson. In testimony whereof, I hereunto set my hand and affix my seal this eleventh day of July one thousand eight hundred and forty-six. Signed, sealed and delivered in presence of [blank]. S. M. Jones. The State of Texas, County of Jefferson } Know all men by these presents that I, David Garner of state and county aforesaid, for and in consideration of seven hundred dollars to me in hand paid by George Bryan of city of Galveston, state aforesaid, have bargained and sold unto the said George Bryan one negro girl named Louisa, aged about twenty-five years, and child named Francis, about two years old. Both [are] mulattos and slaves for life. I hereby bind myself to warrant and defend the title to said slaves to said Bryan, his heirs, assigns, etc. forever against the claim of myself, my heirs and assigns, and all persons whatsoever. In testimony whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and scroll by way of seal this 17th day of September A. D. 1846. David Garner.
