County of Jefferson } Whereas Louis Hebert, formerly a citizen of the
State of Louisiana and United States of America,
and late a citizen of the Republic of Texas and County of Jefferson, and
on [the] _?_tieth day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand eight
hundred and forty-four, within the limits of the said County of Jefferson and
Republic of Texas. And whereas the said Lousi Hebert died at the time and
place above-named without making a will or testament of the property he
was possessed of and owned at the time of his death in the said Republic of
Texas. And whereas the said Louis Hebert left at his death the following
descendants, to wit: Alexander Hebert, a citizen of the State of Louisiana
aforesaid; and Louis Hebert, a citizen of said state; and Joseph Revaud,
Harris Revaud, and __?__ Revaud, sons of Eloise Hebert, [and] which said
Eloise was the daughter of said Louis Hebert, deceased, and citizens of
said state; and ___?___ Hebert, the wife of Alexis Blanchet, citizen
of said state; and Mary A. Hebert, now wife of W. G. Mills, citizen
of the said state; and Joseph Hebert, a citizen of the said Republic
