R. E. Russell

Dear Brother

I received your letter several days since and should have answered it sooner, but I have been verry buisy I did not get the Mill started until yesterday. Bob get Charley Block to measure up all of the floating timber that I have and turn it over to Miller Block said that he would go and measure it up any time that I wanted him to tell him to be sure and get all and to have Miller to put his mark on it

so that the sinking timber can be told from the timber that I sell to Miller you can let Dennis Call have about two cases of shingles on the a/c that you spoke of tell Dennis that I do not know what [illegible] & its are going at and for him to do the best that he can in the way of price as I will loose on them any way let him take them off of the yard so that all of the shingles that is left will be for Jones you need not say anything about letting Dennis have them to any one I do not think that I will quite have enough shingles to settle up with Jones but he should have taken them off sooner and as he did not he had just as well

wait as for Dennis to have to wait for his if he had have taken them off sooner it would have made a difference of a $1000.00 to me. We have not got the connection for our new boiler yet have got in the patent grate barrs but they do not give no quite enough steam but we will have steam enough when we get the other boiler connected which will be in a few days. Ma & Cecil are well and like the place verry well. Mag & Granville are going to give up the boarding house in day or two.
