Mr. Robert E. Russell
Dear Sir:
I received yours of
the 5th and assure you I was highly pleased
with all the nice papers you so kindly sent
me. I do admire your choice of readable papers
for Ladies and your favorite story is well worth
reading, but in justice to myself I fancy the
Prussian Spy none as thrilling Romance.
though all are charming and I feel obliged
to you for many hours of pleasant pastime.
Mr Robert, I like long letters from friends
and would like to comply with your request
but I never write long letters so you must not
think me wanting in friendship for such
a small matter.
There is not much news in this short time,
about Christmas brother Sam was married
None of the family knew any thing of it untill the
