and found them all well. Mr Smith has a fine
crop, but the worms are in the cotton and it is
thought they will eat the cotton in September.
We all went to Burkeville last Saturday.
and had a fine time. There was 2 days meeting
(Babptist) they baptised one Mr. Wm. Correl.
Lizzie Windham has an excelent organ and her
and Mis Lela kept it going all the time we
were at the house. they both play well.
We returned Monday and moved Wednesday, and
then Miss Lela left us which causes the chaps
to be very lonesome, Missouri and I had too
much work to do to get lonely. We got
everything in shape again Yesterday. We feel
much better at home. Missouri is fixing
dinner to get off to Sunday school,
but here comes her ma and I guess she will
not go. She is just returning from Magnolia
Springs where her mother died a few days
ago aged 90 years. the old lady would not
take any medicine. she was afraid she
would not die. she said she had lived
long enough. Well Mrs Windham has gone
and Monday evening has come. I was at the
school meeting we agreed on repairing the houses
