feel inclined to give. My rightful name you know is Charlotte, tho' I never own it, neither have I ever been called anything but Lottie. I have of late gotten tired of that so thought I would change to Charla. How do you like the alteration? Some of my friends despise, some dislike, and some admire.

I have another letter waiting for an answer, and as it is nearly church time I bid you good night hop ing to hear again soon.

Remember me to all the relations especially the little ones.
