Polk County Tex April 29 1883 Mrs Kate C. Russell dear sister I write to let you no [know] whirr [where] I am so if you ever took a notion to write you would know whirr [where] to send your letter I am not doing much for my self trying to make a crop cant see much though my eyes air [are] better now than they were when I cam [came] there

I havent heard from sis in some time I dont no [know] whirr [where] she is now I never git [got] any letter from any of you but I am to write some times Ed hasint [hasn't] wrote to me in over a year you and May hardly ever writes Sis has bin writing tolerably often untill the last fiw months she was at Sherman I wrote their [there] but got no answer so I dont no [know] whirr [where] to write to her

write and give me a full description of your children and what thirr [their] naimes [names] air [are] if you ever told me I have forgotten them all but Cecilee if you ever conclude to write any more direct your letters to Moscow Polk County

Julia is sick today I am just gitting [getting] over a verry [very] bad cold that made me sick for a week or ten days I hope you will write soon I am as ever your brother with love and affection William McFarland
