Mr Dear Sir C. A. Stanley will Call on you for a demand on the Govenor of North Carolina for one John. R. Merrett who has fled from Justice. Mr Stanley will furnish you with a transcrip of the cases a gainst Merrett in Covington & Coffee Counties I am well acquainted with the Said J.R. Merrett and know him to Be a Bad man he is as Bad as men Eaver gits to Bee and after Seaing what he is accused of hear I would feald gratified to hear of your offering a liberal Reward for the Said J.R. Merret and if you dow so I know it will meat the hartey approbation of this whole Community
